Fourth desalination plant in Chennai to get operational from Dec 2026 – India

Chennai’s fourth desalination plant will come up in Perur on East Coast Road. To be built by the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) with funding support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the project’s estimated cost is Rs 4,276.44 crore.

Basilan to build desalination facility – Phillipines

Saudi Arabia’s NWC initiates $1.3 billion new desalination projects – KSA

The undertaking by NWC includes the construction of 40 water tanks with a collective capacity of 1.6 million cubic meters.

The projects also include the establishment of pumping stations and the laying of 493 kilometers of strategic pipeline networks.

Saudi NWC working on $1.3bln desal projects in Eastern Province – KSA

Unveiling the big infrastructure plan, NWC said the project scope includes construction of 40 water tanks with a total capacity of 1.6 million cu m in addition to pumping stations and laying of 493 km of strategic pipeline networks that will be gradually operated to serve beneficiaries in Dammam, Khobar, Jubail, Al Ahsa and Al Qatif with 24/7 supply.

ACWA Power increases its water capacity to 7.6 mil m3/day after winning Dubai’s Hassyan Seawater IWP Bid – KSA

Acwa Power has emerged as the preferred bidder for the construction and operation of the Hassyan Phase 1 Independent Water Producer (IWP) project. Being set up at with an investment of US $914mn, the plant will process 180 million imperial gallons per day (MIGD) of sea water, using ‘reverse osmosis’ technology.
