The District will use the $10,000,000 assistance it has received for the planning, acquisition and design of a seawater desalination plant, according to a release from Texas Water Newsroom.
The ambitious project aims to produce up to 600,000 tonnes per year of green hydrogen across three phases for export to Europe.
ACWA Power, the worldâs largest private water desalination company and a pioneer in the space of green hydrogen, will develop, operate, and maintain 12GW of renewable energy electricity generation units, storage systems, transmission lines, a water desalination plant, electrolysers, and related infrastructure.
