Geothermal energy project also for desalination, MOU signed – Santorini – Greece

 Last week, it was announced that the development of the geothermal fields of (the island of) Santorini and the management of the urban waste of the region goes to PPC Renewables following a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Deputy Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Nektarios Santorinis , Mayor of Thera, Anastasios-Nikolaos Zorzos and the CEO of PPC Renewables , Elias Monachia and approved by the Municipal Council of Thira. More specifically, PPC Renewables will undertake the possibility of developing geothermal energy on the island for power generation, heating, cooling, seawater desalination and use for hot springs. [
