Acwa Power, a major Saudi developer, investor, and operator of power generation, water desalination and green hydrogen plants worldwide, has signed MoUs with the National Water Company of Senegal (Sones) and the National Electricity Company of Senegal (Senelec), for the development of a 300,000 cu m/day seawater reverse osmosis plant (SWRO) in Grande CĂ´te, located approximately 40 km north-east of capital Dakar.

WABAG bags new order for 50 MLD Desalination projects – Senegal

WABAG a leading pure-play water technology company said it has secured a consortium Design, Build, Operate (DBO) order, for the 50 MLD Mamelles Sea Water desalination project from Societe Nationale Des Eaux du Senegal (SONES), the national water company of Senegal, worth ab out 146 million Euro.

The scope of WABAG under this order will be engineering and procurement and operation and maintenance, which is worth about one third of the consortium order value.
