New desalination units for Sharjah – UAE – Sharjah The Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) has announced plans to develop desalination plants and transmission and distribution systems to improve water quality in several areas of Sharjah. Sewa added that 83 electronic sensors have been installed to measure water pressure and flow in networks as well as intelligent voice devices to identify water leaks in the transmission and distribution lines as part of the important strategic projects implemented by the Authority, reported Wam, the Emirates official news agency.
