Deb Haaland announces $12.6 million for desalination facility, removal of ‘forever chemicals’ – Mexico

LAS CRUCES – Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland stopped in Las Cruces Wednesday to announce $12.6 million in funding for a new desalination research facility in Alamogordo, which will address the area’s PFAS contamination (Per- and poly-fluorinated alkyl substances).
