The association „Deutsche Meerwasserentsalzung e.V.“ was founded in 2003 by a group of people in Mülheim an der Ruhr. The association was based in Bonn. His offices were in Duisburg and Moers. In 2022, the association was closed down at all.
The trademark rights to the association’s logo are now held and continued by
Deutsche MeerwasserEntsalzung GmbH.
