Named the ‘Dampier Seawater Desalination Plant’, this desalination plant will be located at Parker Point, where Rio Tinto processes its iron ore port operations. The plant will have an initial treatment capacity of four gigalitres per year with the potential to increase its treatment capacity to eight gigalitres.
