Chart Industries will supply compressors for China’s Dalian seawater hydrogen production project that is expected to generate 130kWH of green electricity and 2,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year.
The study team developed this new type of high-performance, low-cost, and scalable modified membrane with superior oil resistance, Xinhua News Agency quoted He Bin, researcher with the Institute of Eco-environmental and Soil Sciences under the GDAS and leader of the study, as saying.
„With the assistance of the crown ether interlayer, the polyamide membrane obtains more nanoscale structures on the membrane surface and a nanoscale thickness, which are conducive to enhancing water performance, because the former increases the effective filtration area, while the latter greatly reduces the mass transfer resistance,“ Jiang said.
„Moreover, nanoscale pores in the membrane can provide high-speed channels to promote water transport. The developed polyamide membrane demonstrates a superior water permeance over the pristine polyamide membrane while maintaining a comparable salt rejection.“

Toray Industries, Inc., announced that an advanced facility that went on line at the Yindingzhuang Wastewater Treatment Plant…This advanced facility in Baoding, Hebei Province, is one of the largest in China using such modules, with a daily treatment capacity of 315,000 cubic meters.
Beijing-based Toray Bluestar Membrane Co., Ltd., is supplying and providing technical services for these modules at the facility. Toray will help China enhance its aquatic environment and resolve water shortages by offering products and technical support through that subsidiary.

According to CNNC, its Tianwan nuclear-powered project with a total investment of $108.4 million and construction period of 24 months, will be fully operational by the end of 2023.
