This was confirmed in a statement by WASA on Wednesday morning.
The Desalination Company of Trinidad and Tobago – DESALCOTT owned and operated Plant, normally supplies WASA with 40 million gallons of water per day (mgd); however, this has been reduced to 26 mgd, due to emergency maintenance work on the filter system at the facility.
The work is expected to be completed by midnight on Friday and the plant restored to full production on Saturday.
