Kuwait scientists receive desalination patent in the US – Kuwait The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) has received a patent for the construction of a desalination plant in the US, according to the state-run Kuwait News Agency. In a statement, KISR said that affiliated scientists were able to reduce the hydraulic pressure needed for the desalination of seawater.
