Abengoa was present at the opening ceremony of the Rabigh desalination plant, the largest reverse osmosis desalination plant in commercial operation in the world, with 600,000 m3/day capacity.

SEWA awards Metito 20 MIGD SWRO plant restoration – Saudi Arabia

Metito’s scope of work covers the design, procurement, construction, site erection, inspection, testing, and commissioning of the project.

In the process, Metito will dismantle and replace the existing equipment and structure, renovate SEWA’s SWRO system, and implement additional membranes in eight skids.

Metito will also be upgrading the electrical system to accommodate new equipment and integrate a Distributed Control System (DCS).

The International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) has closed the SAR 391.5 million transaction to sell its entire stake of 32% in Shuqaiq Water and Electricity Company (Shuqaiq IWPP).

It said the attacks were aimed at a water desalination plant in Al-Shaqeeq, an Aramco distribution station in Jizan, a power station in Dhahran al Janub, a gas facility in Khamis Mushait and an Aramco liquefied natural gas plant in Yanbu.
