Innovative Water Treatment Technologies – India

…. We have a very new solution – the low energy membrane system. It was launched a few months ago. The aim is to ensure environmental protection by employing water recycling. This saves 10-20% of energy depending on the water flow. In the Indian context, there are some industries where quality of water is not that good and where energy usage is high. Here we use ULP (Ultra Low Pressure) membrane where consumption of water is very less. This technology finds application in heavy industry like fertilisers and textiles. LANXESS is introducing its highperformance Lewabrane reverse osmosis membranes, Lewatit […]

Emirates SembCorp to announce Fujairah 1 project bond – Fujairah – UAE

…

The bond would come less than two weeks after the launch of a $3 billion project bond by a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) which, having attracted orders in excess of $11 billion while it was being marketed, showed investors’ appetite for these issues. Such debt instruments are relatively new financing tools in the Middle East, where projects have traditionally been financed through bank loans because of banks’ high liquidity before oil prices dropped three years ago. Citigroup and HSBC are expected to lead the transaction, said the sources. The desalination plant, called Fujairah […]

Dysfunctional Gwadar desalination plant irks Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri – Pakistan – Gwadar

The dysfunctional desalination water plant in Gwadar has irked Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri who orders immediate functionalising the plant to meet rising demand of water. The plant has capacity to desalinate 2 million gallons of water on regular basis, but it failed to meet the demand of drinkable water in the city. The chief minister Thursday expressed displeasure over the dysfunctional desalination water plant in a briefing in Gawadar. The chief minister was informed during the briefing that the project worth Rs 984 million was passed on to Public Health Engineering (PHE) in May 2016, though, the […]
