The firm says it has earned a reputation for delivering desalination solutions using RO technology that emits 6.5 times fewer GHGs than thermal desalination.

ACCIONA has revealed that it has ramped up to full production of water during the final testing of the Al Khobar 2 desalination plant. The infrastructure major said that the plant can produce 630,000cu/m of potable water per day, which is enough to meet the requirements of three million people.

Berkeley startup Capture 6 raises $6.25 million to bring carbon capture to desalination plants – California, USA

The company’s technology uses a strong base to turn CO2 in the atmosphere into minerals. It differentiates itself from other carbon capture projects in its ability to use its technology in combination with other industrial processes such as water desalination plants, as opposed to standalone carbon capture plants like those used by Climeworks in Iceland.

ACWA Power surges desalination volume to supply for 5.5m additional people each day – Saudi Arabia

 Saudi-located ACWA Power established the biggest water desalination volume in the firm’s history last year, allowing it to supply 5.5 million additional people in the Gulf Cooperation Council area each day.

The power generation company closed a record-breaking 2.4 million cm3/day of water desalination volume, in line with a press release, via four reverse osmosis megaprojects in the Middle East forcing ACWA power’s overall water volume higher to 6.4 million cubic meters.

The Moroccan Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, is again the bearer of good news.
