Metito Egypt, a water management solutions provider, has been awarded a project worth EGP 1.8bn to develop a wastewater treatment plant and sewage network in the New Alamein City on the Mediterranean as part of a joint venture with Orascom Construction. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2021.

The New Alamein City is considered the first model of the new generation of the millennium cities.

Located on an area of 202m square meters (sqm), it will serve as a model for the progressive and comprehensive urban planning strategy set by the Egyptian government aiming to attract a large percentage of the expected population growth in this area in the coming years.
