Minister of Water and Irrigation, Mohammad Najjar, discussed with the Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan, Sherif Kamal, on Wednesday, ways to strengthen aspects of water cooperation.

Speaking during the meeting, Najjar reviewed Jordan’s water conditions, and the “growing, and accelerating” development needs and the challenges this process has imposed on the water sector, especially in light of the continued Covid-19 pandemic.

The minister also highlighted the projects that Jordan is planning to implement to address those water challenges, especially through launching desalination projects, developing irrigation systems and reusing treated water for the various purposes, enhancing joint water cooperation, and exchanging experiences.
