Swamy: Set up desalination plants along Tamil Nadu’s (India) coast In a letter addressed to Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswamy, a copy of which was accessed by The Pioneer, the senior BJP leader has offered the Chief Minister all help and assistance for the implementation of the desalination project. “It is important to augment the supply in rivers of Cauvery and Vaigai. This can be done by desalination of water in many places along the Tamil Nadu coast,” Swamy said in the letter to the Chief Minister. He has pointed out that the desalination plants being operated by the Madras Atomic Power Station at Kalpakkam in Tamil Nadu and the Jamnagar Petro Chemical Complex in Gujarat.
