The installation will include approximately 32,000 photovoltaic panels over an area of 130,000 m2. It will produce more than a third of the daily consumption of the plant operated by Véolia and the national company NPW.

“This project is in line with our strategy, which is to develop renewable energies in the Middle East in order to provide our customers with clean, reliable and affordable solutions,” said Vincent Stoquart, Director of Renewables at TotalEnergies. We are committed to helping Veolia decarbonize its operations, leveraging our experience in deploying photovoltaic solutions on complex industrial sites.” This approach is also part of the Sultanate of Oman’s national energy strategy, which plans to increase the share of renewables to 30% of its electricity consumption by 2030.
